Due to a serious health related issue we had to cancel a number of forward bookings from March 11th 2012.

We will now be up and ready to go from the 1st June 2012 so am looking forward to welcoming our lovely guests who demonstrated such compassion and patience at such a stressful time for us.

We can only take one couple per week in the lodge so if you could give us a call to book that would be great.

PRIVATE GARDEN COTTAGE LAUNCH 1ST JUNE 2012

Eden Lodge now has a low key but comfortable garden cottage nestled very privately in their garden.

A generous courtyard is the perfect setting to enjoy your privacy and to recharge.

Tariff is $240.00 per night and is offered on a 2 night basis midweek ie Tues/Wed/Thursday or 3 nights Fri/Sat/Sunday.

There is much to do and see on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and 3 nights is ideal. First night wind down, second night just to chill and the third night should see you totally relaxed.

The cottage does not have full cooking facilities however will have a food steamer, sandwich press and convenction microwave to enable you to cook a little something. There are many fine restaurants close by but potential guests have said that it would be great to be able to cook something up in case they don’t wish to leave the comfort of the cottage. After a couple of glasses of wine and enjoying the woodfire – who could blame them.

Fresh farmhouse style breakfast provisions hamper for 2 guests $30.00
A bottle of Red, white wine or bubbly $20.00
Handmade local Chocolates $10.00
Cheese platter featuring local cheeses and homemade hot bread $20.00

WHAT IS A TRADITIONAL B&B?

Over the years the lines have been blurred as to what constitutes a traditional bed and breakfast with many owners stamping their own particular style to their establishment which can transport their accommodation style into other categories such as spa retreats, self catering etc.

Eden Lodge is a traditional bed and breakfast. Firstly, traditional bed and breakfasts are a working home. The home should be low key and comfortable and above all you should feel welcomed. As soon as you walk in and meet your host you should feel relaxed and safe in the knowledge that you are valued. Afternoon tea should be offered and you should feel like you have been there many times before, even if this is your first stay.

Traditional bed and breakfasts are sociable places so if you want to arrive and just sleep your stay away then this is probably not the right style of accommodation for you. Traditional bed and breakfasts provide a clean and hospitable base for you to explore from. So you need to check in, drop your bags off, enjoy afternoon tea and plan your activities and explore the region you have chosen to visit.

You need to arrive with a sense of humour and just enjoy. Breakfast is always a sociable affair with hearty conversations. You never know who you will meet. I find that after 8 years of hosting a traditional bed and breakfast, guests who would usually have booked into upmarket hotels are now choosing this style of stay. They love the social interaction.
