Julie and Charlie bought Eden Lodge in 2013. They are passionate about delivering a relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Over the years they have come to recognise the guests that like to interact with them and other guests and those that are looking for a high degree of privacy.
Charlie cooks the delicious breakfasts, serves the wine during 'Happy Hour', tends to the garden and his chickens.
Julie bakes the biscuits, makes the jams and marmalades, acts as a tour guide and serves you breakfast.
They both love receiving feedback that their efforts are appreciated and that your stay has been memorable for all the right reasons!
Why choose us
They moved up from Newcastle to run Eden Lodge in 2013 and are thoroughly enjoying the experience of running a B&B.
When travelling they prefer to stay in B&B's and know what they like and what they find disappointing. They strive to deliver the type of guest experience they themselves enjoy. These include cleanliness, comfortable beds with quality linen, local advice but also the little things like home-made bread and jams.
It is great to see people arrive and wind down while here, appreciating the peaceful surroundings, food and drink and interaction with other guests.
Charlie's background includes working in the money-market, bookkeeping and designing websites. Julie's includes computer network sales, IT company management, Customer Relationship Management and business consultant. While they both play golf, Julie likes to go on walks and Charlie to fly his paraglider.
